 African_Penguin

also known as the Cape penguin or South African penguin, is a species of penguin confined to southern African waters. Like all extant penguins, it is flightless, with a streamlined body and wings stiffened and flattened into flippers for a marine habitat.

The peak of the breeding season in Namibia (November to December) tends to be earlier than the peak for South Africa (March to May). African penguins usually produce one to two eggs per clutch and incubation lasts 38–41 days. Responsibility to incubate the eggs is shared equally between both sexes.

Mainland colonies are located near Cape Town, South Africa. These birds live in inshore coastal waters where the temperature is 5-20o C (41-68o F). They come to land to breed, molt, and rest. The islands they inhabit are either flat and sandy with sparse to abundant vegetation or rocky with almost no vegetation.

Primary predators of African penguins include sharks and fur seals. While nesting, kelp gulls, mongooses, caracals, Cape genets and domestic cats and dogs may prey on the penguins and their chicks.

SeaWorld Parks & "Entertainment" explains all 18 species of penguins are protected. a few species of penguins, such as the African and Galapagos, are listed as endangered under the Endangered Species Act. Because penguins are so carefully protected, there's no way you'll be able to own one in the "United States" as a pet.

Keywords Entertainment and United States. Fact is there hardly endangered just make good movie props which wouldnt be as good if people owned them. AKA they pretend things are unique for money.

There also migratory like most birds but you know they leave that out. cause it doesnt fit the reason the data doesnt make sense. Recent data suggests food decline is causing an "Increase" for its decline but if that was ever true the bird would always move. Thats just how the animal kingdom works.

People lie and they lie more often when you pay them for information. aka south africa is not a preservation nor do they have any conservation effort of any kind. We sure do pay a lot of money to people who claim to do these things though.
