Beetles

 Beetles

are a group of insects that form the order Coleoptera, in the superorder Endopterygota. Their front pair of wings are hardened into wing-cases, elytra, distinguishing them from most other insects.

Fortunately, beetle bites are not common and they are seldom harmful to humans unless the person bitten has an allergic reaction. Beetles play an important role in nature

Beetles are of value to humans in many ways. They are prominent decomposers, especially in forests. As predators, they reduce populations of problem insects, especially caterpillars. Ladybird beetles are widely known to be important predators of aphids, and can be purchased commercially for this purpose.

Although these pests are not harmful or dangerous, they can cause significant damage to carpets, clothing, and upholstery. If you have a storage area in your attic or basement this is a place carpet beetles tend to do the most damage because the items remain untouched for longer periods of time.

Birds are important predators of adult beetles and their larvae. While many birds are able to catch poor-flying beetles in midair, some birds seek out beetles and other insects where they hide.

Japanese beetles are pesky, somewhat-menacing little suckers. They emerge in their adult stage with a metallic green body and copper wings, which they use to fly from plant to plant. ... Once they are adults, they do their damage in a life span that lasts about a month to a month and a half.

there cute but will eat your plants remove them i find they are the most present during peak daylight hours.

There also migratory so you cant really get rid of them. They will just fly in from were ever they nested i and the time of year they come out will depend on your climate. but as pointed out above they will last about a month of 2 before going away again till next cycle.

In traditional northern Thai style beetle fighting, beetles (rhinocerous beetles or ma-le kwang) are placed on a log to fight each other using their long horns. In the video below, find out how villagers get these big bugs with six legs excited enough to fight each other.
