Barn_owl
is the most widely distributed species of owl in the world and one of the most widespread of all species of birds.
Barn Owls are rather shy and will fly away upon being approached by humans, even abandoning their eggs and chicks.
If they feel threatened they will squint their eyes, spread their wings and sway their head back and forth while hissing. If this does not stop their attacker, the barn owl will lie on its back and protect itself with its sharp talons.
Barn Owls don't hoot! They shriek, hiss and snore.
